Finch (1974 to 1978) was a Dutch rock group, which made international name and remained, many years after the eindconcert on November 14, 1978 in the Rotterdams Conservatorium.
Finch was founded by Joop van Nimwegen guitarist, bassist and drummer Peter Vink Beer Klaasse. The first two previously worked together in Q65. Musical director was Joop van Nimwegen. In the absence of a good singer, it was decided to make instrumental rock. If keyboardist Paul Vink was attracted but during rehearsals, he was replaced by Cleem Determeijer, then still a student at the Rotterdam Conservatory.
The first album, Glory Of The Inner Force (produced by Roy Beltman), was not only made in Netherlands, but also in the United States by Atlantic. It received critical acclaim. Determeijer wanted However concentrate on his pianostudie and was replaced by Ad Wammes. The second album, "Beyond Expression ', LP of the week on Radio Veronica.
The band made a slow breakthrough, with tours in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany as a support to the Jan Akkerman Band. The frequent changes in the occupation made it impossible to continue.
